The STOZXFR application and supporting files are in the STOZXFR Download file, StoZ.zip.

STOZXFR was created using Visual Basic 5.0.  It is important that the contents of StoZ.zip be placed in a new directory.  The contents of StoZ.zip are listed and described in the following table.

STOZXFR.EXE
STOZ.ICO
The executable file and its associated icon which can be used with a Windows shortcut.
MSVBVM50.DLL The run-time library for Visual Basic 5.0 (VB5).  This file should be placed in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 for WIN XP and 32-bit WIN 7, and in C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64 for 64-bit WIN 7.
MSFLXGRD.OCX
MSFLXGRD.OCA
MSFLXGRD.DEP
A VB5 "extended" control which is used for displaying filter coefficients in a grid, or table. These files should be placed in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 for WIN XP and 32-bit WIN 7, and in C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64 for 64-bit WIN 7.
COMDLG32.DLL
COMDLG32.OCX
COMDLG32.OCA
COMDLG32.DEP
The VB5 "common dialog" control for file opening and saving operations.  T hese files should be placed in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 for WIN XP and 32-bit WIN 7, and in C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64 for 64-bit WIN 7.
SPINUP2.BMP
SPINDWN2.BMP
SPINDOWN.BMP
SPINUP.BMP
These bitmaps are used for the up and down triangles which are referred to as the "spin buttons."

Assume that a new folder named StoZ is created on drive C:.  After unzipping StoZ.zip into c:\StoZ the Visual Basic run-time library and the three MSFLXGRD.* files must be copied to the appropriate folders as shown in the above table.  The COMDLG32.* files may already be on your computer, but it does no harm to copy them to the folders as specified in the table above.

For 64-bit WIN 7 it is necessary to "register" the MSFLXGRD control.

  1. Open a Command Prompt window:  START\All Programs\Accessories\CommandPrompt
  2. Change to the 64-bit directory:  CD \Windows\SysWOW64
  3. Register the file:  C:\Windows\SysWOW64>  regsvr32 msflxgrd.ocx
